PA6 C / G CAST POLYAMIDE (NYLON)
Commonly referred to as PA6 C / G,
Cast Polyamide, commonly referred to as PA6 C/G is manufactured using a casting method, whereby the raw material Caprolactam polymerizes by means of a controlled chemical reaction. Modifiers are added to Caprolactam enhance desirable characteristics. By using additives such as oil, solid lubricants or thermal stabilizers, the typical characteristics of type 6 nylon can be selectively adjusted for certain applications, opening up a custom tailored range of materials to cover a wide application spectrum. Cast Nylon demonstrates even higher crystallinity and better machinability than extruded nylon.
PA6 C/G Rods, Sheets and Tubes are tough, durable, general purpose engineering material with special grades for specialty applications. Typical application conditions would be medium speed and temperature in a rugged, abrasive, impact and high load environment.
